Increase of State Water Project 2023 Allocation to 75 Percent
On March 24, 2023, the Department of Water Resources (DWR) announced that above average precipitation from late February to date continues to contribute inflows into State Water Project (SWP) reservoirs and increase the snowpack in the Sierras. Therefore, the DWR is increasing the State Water Project (SWP) allocation from 35 to 75 percent of most SWP contractors’ Maximum Annual Table A amounts.
